Hello! My name is Richy Jing, and I’m currently pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics at Carleton College (Class of 2027). My academic interests center on quantitative analysis, finance, and data-driven problem solving. At Carleton, I’ve built a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics while engaging in courses that emphasize both rigorous theory and practical application.
Outside the classroom, I’m a varsity tennis player, competing at the No. 1 singles position and earning All-State honors in 2024 and 2025. As a team member, I help lead practices and coordinate training schedules, balancing athletic commitments with my academic goals.
On campus, I’m also a researcher for the Carleton Investment Group, where I’ve developed skills in accounting, valuation, and industry analysis. I enjoy applying quantitative frameworks to real-world problems, whether through coursework, investment research, or professional experiences.
Looking ahead, I aim to pursue opportunities at the intersection of finance, technology, and data analysis. I’ve previously gained internship experience in private equity and investment banking, where I contributed to sector research, deal sourcing, and diligence work.
These experiences have strengthened my interest in analytical work and strategic decision-making in dynamic industries.
